    HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Former crewmembers from the USS John Marshall are rekindling friendships and starting new ones after a weekend meeting in West Virginia.

  • USS John Marshall SSBN/SSN-611 Reunion

    USS John Marshall SSBN/SSN-611 Crewmembers 

      The 2021 USS John Marshall SSBN/SSN-611 reunion has been confirmed and will take place from Thursday 9/2 through Saturday 4/4/21.  We will join the 2021 US Submarine Vets, Inc (USSVI) for their annual convention at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando, FL. The USSVI convention is a six-day event from Monday 8/30 through Saturday 9/4.  Some of the convention planned events are scheduled earlier in the week. The length of time you want to attend is at your discretion. 

      We will get the negotiated room rate of $105.00/night plus taxes and all of the concessions for our USSVI National Convention, including;

    • Complimentary basic high speed internet access in guestrooms and public areas.

    • The Hotel does not charge resort fees.  All ancillary items are charged upon usage.
    • Complimentary self-parking for all attendees, within the Hotel’s inventory.
    • Complimentary wireless for up to 2 internet connections using private IP addresses, with maximum speeds of up to 3Mbps per device, in the vendor room for the length of event..
    • Twenty-five percent (25%) discount will be offered at the Spa at Shingle Creek for all attendees (exclusive of tax and service charge, and not applicable to Spa Packages)
    • Twenty-five percent (25%) off of green fees at the Shingle Creek Golf Club, exclusive of tax and service charge.
    • Twenty-five percent (25%) discount on select dining outlets excluding room service, Headwaters, 18 Monroe Street Retail Items, ParTake, and Smoooth Java.  This discount is not valid on alcoholic beverages or pre-packaged grocery items and is exclusive of any applicable taxes, service charges and/or gratuities.

       To register to attend the event you must register with the USSVI AND with the Rosen Creek Hotel.  The USSVI link to perform both of these activities is here. (https://ussviconvention.org/2021/).  Attendees can also contact the hotel reservations department directly at 866-996-6338 and use code USSVI-2021 National Convention.  The cut-off date for the Room Block is August 01, 2021.  Reservations made after this date may be made at the Convention rate based on room availability. 

    ·         Banquet dinners – we will hold our own, separate banquet dinner on Friday evening 9/3.  The larger USSVI Convention banquet will be on Saturday evening 9/4.  You have the option of attending either one, or both.  The cost for each diner package is $60.  There will be a cash bar. 

    ·         Hospitality suite – at this time I am not sure if we will have our own 611 hospitality suite, or if we share the larger convention suite.
